I'll be happy as long as we see Cotric and Croker play plenty of games, and hopefully we've got a couple of good young forwards in there to help them out.

Q&A with Brett White

Brett White enjoyed an illustrious NRL career with the Raiders and Storm, while also representing Australia and New South Wales. Having turned his talents to coaching, White will now be taking on the Raiders NYC head coaching position.

Did you always want to be a coach or was it something that just happened after retirement?

I have always loved the game, loved the team environment and love being a part of that. I would probably struggle outside of a team environment. I was very lucky when I decided to retire from playing that Don Furner and Ricky Stuart offered me a chance to still be involved in the club, and I grabbed that opportunity with both hands.

Nick Cotric - Promising outside back, eligible for SG Ball, and should be first picked for NSW U18 barring injury
Lachlan Croker - Needs an injury free year to fulfill his potential
Chevi Ellis - Should be in contention for Junior Kiwis this year
Kalani Going - Should be in contention for Junior Kiwis this year, explosive player
Lachlan Lewis - Q - Needs a big year or could be overtaken in the picking order for QLD U20 selection
Cleveland McGhie - Needs a big year
William Samuel - Q - Souths Logan - Unlucky to miss selection for QLD U18 last year
Jarrod Tuite - Q - Toowoomba - workhorse
Jack Williams - Tough, also in contention for Junior Kiwis?
Tre Williams - excitement machine, is he a fullback or half?

Just some comments, good luck for the season. Top 8 spot should be in reach.

VIDEO: Canberra Raiders NYC camp in Jindabyne

The Raiders NYC team visited Jindabyne on the weekend for a training camp which combined traditional football training with some more unusual sessions. Check out the video to see the Raiders future stars take part in high ropes courses and dragon boating with the Lake Jindabyne Snow Dragons

Canberra Raiders under 20s Snowy Mountains connection

THE Canberra Raiders Under 20s rugby league squad visited Jindabyne last weekend for a training camp at the Sport and Recreation Centre, which was also a homecoming for two local players and coaching staff.

Thomas Cronan from Jindabyne and Jack Williams from Berridale are both exciting prospects and permanent fixtures in the U20s team.

In 2016 they will both be coached by former Berridale boy and Australian tester player Brett White.

I liked this bit...

Thomas Cronan, a talented guitar player and singer as well as footballer, contested the Jindy Idol in 2014.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Ditto
Don't get to see the kids with the regularity that I used too. Good to get some idea of who we should keep an eye on

Tre Williams was very impressive from what I've seen. Croker and Cotric look the business too
